About Fishing With Fredo

I'm a writer, an editor and a columnist. Been one for about three decades or so. Originally from Pennsylvania, I've been living in Southwest Florida - either in or near the island community of Boca Grande - since 1998.

I now write most of my stuff for a daily newspaper that is part of the New York Times chain. I also do freelance travel and entertainment stories - and some political pieces. Beats nine to five.

I'm not Fredo. Fredo is a character from The Godfather, the half-wit brother "with a good heart" who decides to go fishing one day. It was a bad choice.
